While ALLIANCE Healthcare Partners LLC strongly advise you against visiting a senior loved one unless extremely necessary, we also understand that you miss them and are worried about them.
We have been away from our loved ones for so long, even having quality Home Health Care in Columbus, Ohio, won’t be enough to keep you at peace. Here are a few safety tips you should use to protect yourself and your senior when you visit:
- Wear your mask. Since you came from the outdoors, who knows how many people you’ve interacted with. Just because you’re in your senior’s house doesn’t mean you’re both safe from the virus. So keep your nose and mouth covered.
- Wash your hands at the beginning and end of your visit. Do this for at least 20 seconds.
- If you can, meet them outdoors, like their porch or back yard. If this is not possible, make sure your loved one’s room is well ventilated and big enough for proper social distancing.
- Let their caregiver provide hands on care. We know you want to care for your loved one while you’re there, but you may have touched something contaminated with the COVID-19 virus. This will put them in danger. Let their caregiver do the rest for you.
Do these, and you will be good to go. With Compassionate Caring in Ohio, all you have to do is make sure you’re healthy, clean, and take all precautions for your visit.
